I have not written anything in a while. I suppose I only have but so much creativity to go around so I funneled my energy into exploring comedy writing. When I signed up for the class I didn’t know that it culminated with an opportunity for the class participants to do a few minutes of original material developed and work-shopped over the course of the 7 week class. I ended up developing 19 minutes worth of material and I have never been more nervous in my life. I will give a presentation to 100 people or teach a class but standing up in front of a bunch of people who EXPECT you to make them laugh is beyond intimidating. There were no comfort zones to be found but once I got started I was having a great time and I felt in my element.
